Product Overview
The screw is the core component of injection molding machines, determining final product quality. Our plasticizing screws perform critical functions including conveying, melting, mixing, compressing, metering, and exhausting - all essential factors affecting plasticizing quality.
Screw Material Classification
  • HPT Fully Hardened Powder Alloy Screw: Made from tungsten-cobalt powder alloy tool steel with overall hardening to HRC65°. Ideal for transparent products, precision components, and high-temperature corrosive plastics like LCP, PES, PPA with fibers.
  • Double Alloy Screw: Base material SACM645/38CrMoAlA with tungsten carbide nickel-based alloy ion spray welding. Surface hardness HRC60°. Suitable for transparent products and engineering materials like PA6, PA66 with fibers.
  • Electroplating Screw: SACM645/38CrMoAlA base with hard chromium, nickel, or titanium electroplating. Hardness HRC60°. Perfect for PC, PMMA, PET transparent materials and corrosive U-PVC plastics.
  • Stainless Steel Screw: 9Cr18MoV special stainless tool steel with overall quenching and hardening to HRC55°.
  • SKD61 Screw: Hitachi SKD61 material with special processing for excellent toughness and torsion resistance.
  • Ordinary Nitrided Screw: SACM645/38CrMoAlA base with nitride layer depth 0.5-0.8mm and overall hardness HV980~1080°. For processing PP, ABS, PS, AS, PVC and other standard plastics.
Screw Segment Functions
Injection molding machine screws are divided into three segments: feeding section, compression section, and homogenizing section (metering section). Each segment has specific proportions, groove depths, and transition forms tailored to application requirements.
  • Feeding Section: Fixed groove depth for preheating, conveying, and pushing plastic solids. Ensures plastic begins melting by section end.
  • Compression Section: Tapering groove depth for melting, mixing, shear compression, and pressurized exhaust. Plastic completely dissolves here with volume shrinkage. Compression ratio design is critical.
  • Homogenizing Section: Fixed groove depth for mixing, melt transport, and metering. Maintains consistent melt temperature and stable plastic flow rates.
