Product Overview
The ribbon mixer consists of a U-shaped container, ribbon mixing blades, and transmission components. The U-shaped long cylinder structure enables mixed materials (powder, semi-fluid) to move with minimal resistance. Positive and negative rotating spirals on the same horizontal axis create a low-power, high-efficiency mixing environment. Spiral ribbon blades are typically double or triple layers - outer spirals gather materials from both sides to the center, while inner spirals convey materials from the center to both sides, creating multiple eddy currents that accelerate mixing speed and improve uniformity.
Material Selection
Available materials include carbon steel, manganese steel, SS304, 316L, and 321. Different materials can be combined, with variations between parts contacting raw materials and non-contacting components. Stainless steel surface treatments include sandblasting, wire drawing, polishing, and mirror polishing for different mixer parts.
Drive Unit
Drive units, power, and output speed vary according to raw material properties, starting methods, and processing requirements. Motor options include general motors, explosion-proof motors, variable frequency motors, and high-efficiency energy-saving motors. Common reducers: R-series, K-series, F-series gear boxes; cycloidal reducers, universal gear reducers, planetary gear reducers. Mixing Unit
Different main shaft agitators accommodate various raw material properties. Discharging Unit
Standard horizontal mixer valve is pneumatic planar flap valve. When closed, the planar flap perfectly matches the mixing barrel, eliminating mixing dead zones and improving mixing effectiveness. Valve drive types: manual, pneumatic, and electric. Alternative valves: powder spherical valve, cylinder valve, plum-blossom dislocation valve, butterfly valve, rotary valve.
Inlet Design
Various inlets on the barrel top cover designed for different applications: man hole, cleaning door, feeding hole, vent, and dust collecting hole. Top cover can be designed as fully-opened lid for easy cleaning access.
Auxiliary Components
Mixers frequently include auxiliary components: steam coil jacket, honeycomb pressure jacket, medium circulation jacket, sampling valve, high-speed chopper, temperature sensor, weighing system, dust removal system. Different heat mediums require specific jackets for heating/cooling (temperature up to 250°C). For liquid addition during mixing, spraying/atomizing units ensure even liquid distribution with main ingredients. Liquid-adding system components: pressure source, liquid storage pot, and spraying nozzles.
