Screw Material Classification

HPT Fully Hardened Powder Alloy Screw

Manufactured from tungsten-cobalt powder alloy tool steel with specialized hardening processes. Features uniform internal and external hardness of approximately HRC65°. Ideal for transparent products, precision components, and high-temperature corrosive plastics including LCP, PES, PPA with fiber additives.

Double Alloy Screw

Utilizes SACM645 and 38CrMoAlA base materials with tungsten carbide nickel-based alloy ion spray welding on crests or grooves. Surface hardness around HRC60°. Suitable for transparent products and engineering materials like PA6 and PA66 with fiber reinforcement.

Electroplating Screw

Base materials of SACM645 and 38CrMoAlA with hard chromium, nickel, or titanium electroplating. Hardness approximately HRC60°. Recommended for PC, PMMA, PET transparent materials and corrosive U-PVC plastics.

Stainless Steel Screw

Constructed from 9Cr18MoV special stainless tool steel with complete quenching and hardening. Overall hardness around HRC55°.

SKD61 Screw

Manufactured from Hitachi SKD61 material using specialized processes for exceptional toughness and torsion resistance.

Ordinary Nitrided Screw

Base materials of SACM645 and 38CrMoAlA with specialized processing. Nitride depth 0.5-0.8mm with overall hardness HV980~1080°. Designed for standard plastics including PP, ABS, PS, AS, PVC.

Screw Segment Functions

Injection molding screws are typically divided into three segments with varying proportions, groove depths, and transition forms depending on application requirements.

Feeding Section

Fixed groove depth section responsible for preheating, conveying, and pushing plastic solids. Ensures plastic begins melting by the end of this segment.

Compression Section

Tapering groove depth section performing melting, mixing, shear compression, and pressurized exhaust functions. Complete plastic dissolution occurs here with volume reduction. Compression ratio design is critical for performance.

Homogenizing Section (Metering Section)
